I'm a blessed girl. I was going to sleep in today, but I got called into work and then I got to see snow! My weather prediction blog yesterday was correct! Yessir.
UNCW hasn't announced any cancellations. Don't they know that kids could be injured by frozen water blown into their eyeballs. It's the number one source of retinal damage in Sweden. This weather reminds me of the movie Babes in Toyland. Is that a childhood memory for anyone else? I'm curious becaue I thought everyone on earth had seen the movie Surf Ninjas. Apparently I was the only one obsessed with young ninja princes with skills battling break-dance gangs and predicting the future with a Gameboy. I hope one day I will write a script of that caliber. But, we all have limitation.
The snow and winter mix conjures images of the artist Andy Goldsworthy. He uses only elements from the Earth. He will go to a site with no preconceived notions about what he is going to create. It's glorious. Check out the documentary about him called Rivers and Tides.
