Many Millions of Apologies.
People. My blog lovers. I know theres at least two of you. Well one maybe if you don't include my little sister. Actually, she's stop reading too. Who am I kidding? I write this for myself. Well to me, I apologize that I haven't been writing lately. Oh Joselyn, you are forgiven. Thank you.
Well that was easy.
Shut up Joselyn - Tell the good people the good news about "The Good Times" Le bon temps. Yeah thats us. Thats me and tyler. We made a Shizam Kablam (and I don't just throw those words around) song a few days ago. It was our own personal 72 hour song race. Check it out at www.theguildedman.tumblr.com - but only if you are going to dance. Unless you are paralyzed or somehow unable to dance then you don't have to, but if you can then do. We are building our own site soon, but for now we use Tyler's blog. We also have about 6 more songs in the works. They range from 70 to 90 percent done. Prepare your brain for impending explosion due to awesomeness. Thats our warning.
Our next song called Apocalypse 2012 should be out soon. Theres some Justice Vs. Simian sampling involved. sparkles. rainbow powers. we like Pegasuses. Pegasai?
Moving on. CSFF got an entry a day ago from Travis Varga. Theres a bunny involved named Pretzels. Its way better than Slumdog Billionaire or w/e its called. It makes Casablanca look like a student film. Come to the Cheese Sandwich Film Festival April, 1st 2009 to experience it. AND KEEP WORKING ON YOURS. or else. pirates.

Tuesday night is my roomate Lynn's Bday and it will be GO BOYS TIME YUNG MAZOKST CHARLIE BROWNZ. THURSDAY is Taylor and Casey's Bday soooo 80's roller skating party? And yes on Friday I get to see Andre and Shannon's love child Kai. Be jealous.

I'm drinking cocoa and watching movies then dreaming and scheming and dancing with 5 cats at the home Fortress of Swatches members Selena and Joe tonight. At least I got that going for me.

I found out that some people have never been to www.postsecret.blogspot.com. That news made me a mixture of sad+angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm a mixture of Sad+Angry. The theory behind Postsecret is - liberate yourself by sending your secrets anonymously to them and then they make a book out of your embarrassing shit and make money. It's genius.
They post a new page of postcards every Sunday. It's why god told us not to work that day. I think. I'm sending one today so if you see my handwriting on one posted, smile to yourself and don't mention it. Cuz' its pretty bad.
I went to a spa today to get a complimentary massage. She didn't compliment me once. I would have asked for my money back but she didn't charge. I think she realized she did a crappy job. - Joselyn McBlank

Cheese Film
I'll get some stills from the shoot this weekend in Raleigh for my Cheese Sandwich Film. I don't want to give too much away. Its going to be worth going to the festival. Theres a dance sequence.... that's all I'll say.
GO OUTSIDE AND LOOK AT THE MOON. lunatics.
I took that last summer outside of King Hall @UNCW
I just had a scary experience. I was running at dusk along College Acres Rd. tonight and I heard police sirens. A cop then passed me with his search light one. By this time it was fully dark. A helicopter starts making rounds overhead. I felt like I was in Lethal Weapon two, which sounds awesome because anything Danny Glover has ever done has been Oscar worthy. i even saw this Hardee's commercial that he did. It was fuckin Oscar Worth too. I forget what I was talking about. Damn you Danny.
Today is triple coupons day at Harris Teeter. My friend Gina (pronounced geeeena) got approximately 3 years worth of groceries for a Sudanite for under 20$ cuz HT is tripling any coupon under 99 cents. Grab a Sunday paper or print coups offline and get your shit right.
I'm going to a cookout tonight. I hate when people talk incessantly about the weather. Like today, I know its beautiful outside, but theres other things to be talked about. But yeah seriously, I hope you know, it was beautiful outside. Like step off the plane in Europe euphoric.
I'm gonna paint the hell out of some crap right now AND I need to loft my bed with a quickness. I was thinking about stacking books up to support my bed. I found a used book store with hundreds of books for 99cents. I could make two huge piles and mount the bed on top. My mom said ask a physics major for his opinion on this matter. I don't know any personaly, but if you are one let me know if you think this is possible before I purchase roughly 278 used romance novels. Much thanks. I like the website Instructables.com. There are step -by-step instructions for all things from cooking cupcakes to cooking meth to bed lofting to screen printing. I thoroughly suggest checking it out. They let me down on the bed lofting ideas though. zangit.
Also, I went to Circuit City today to feel better about myself. I bought a camera bag for 13 dollars and some M&ms. I'm fascinated by stores that sell things completely random. Like Best Buy sells corn nuts. That's uncessary. Somewhere outthere someone exists that buys their Cornnuts solely at Best Buy. I love that person and I haven't even met them yet.

I'm making my Cd for the road with some Adele, Uffie, Mimicking Birds, and Sleigh Bells (amongst others) and heading to Raleigh tonight. Hopefully we can catch some music tonight and save energy for the Krispy Kreme Run and Cheese Sandwich Film that we're shooting tomorrow. Pray that I don't puke.

I'm still celebrating Chinese New Year.
Last night Mayor Saffo called my cell phone. I wrote him a letter last week about how bad this city is for bicyclists and pedestrians. I wish I had a copy of the letter. It had some pretty great sketches of the city and the deadliest zones. I'm supposed to be invited to join the transportation council for the city to represent the "student"'s voice. I think I'll represent more of the "too poor to buy gas and annoyed that I am constantly close to death when traveling via bike around Wilmington"'s voice. Either way, I'm trying to raise money and awareness for a new bike path across town. Send me any suggestions or complaints to Joselyn@usa.com. I promise to bring them to light.
Plus, I got Mayor Saffo's cell phone number in my cell phone under DO NOT DRUNK DIAL. It's too tempting otherwise.

I'm a blessed girl. I was going to sleep in today, but I got called into work and then I got to see snow! My weather prediction blog yesterday was correct! Yessir.
UNCW hasn't announced any cancellations. Don't they know that kids could be injured by frozen water blown into their eyeballs. It's the number one source of retinal damage in Sweden. This weather reminds me of the movie Babes in Toyland. Is that a childhood memory for anyone else? I'm curious becaue I thought everyone on earth had seen the movie Surf Ninjas. Apparently I was the only one obsessed with young ninja princes with skills battling break-dance gangs and predicting the future with a Gameboy. I hope one day I will write a script of that caliber. But, we all have limitation.
The snow and winter mix conjures images of the artist Andy Goldsworthy. He uses only elements from the Earth. He will go to a site with no preconceived notions about what he is going to create. It's glorious. Check out the documentary about him called Rivers and Tides.

I'm a blessed girl. I was going to sleep in today, but I got called into work and then I got to see snow! My weather prediction blog yesterday was correct! Yessir.
UNCW hasn't announced any cancellations. Don't they know that kids could be injured by frozen water blown into their eyeballs. It's the number one source of retinal damage in Sweden. This weather reminds me of the movie Babes in Toyland. Is that a childhood memory for anyone else? I'm curious becaue I thought everyone on earth had seen the movie Surf Ninjas. Apparently I was the only one obsessed with young ninja princes with skills battling break-dance gangs and predicting the future with a Gameboy. I hope one day I will write a script of that caliber. But, we all have limitation.
The snow and winter mix conjures images of the artist Andy Goldsworthy. He uses only elements from the Earth. He will go to a site with no preconceived notions about what he is going to create. It's glorious. Check out the documentary about him called Rivers and Tides.

Tuesday UPDATE
Ok so I got the paper today. Which means the paper boy's arm was not at accurate as my neighbors may have hoped. But they are old and won't read my blog so I can admit I took it. The paper says that today it might rain blah! BUT tomorrow it will possibly snow. Probably only a few flurries,-but who doesn't like snow? It's like candy but weather. It's like if weather was made up of music groups - snow would be Cat Stevens or something.

I wanted to point out that this Saturday, here in Wilmington, Star News is putting on a volunteer fair. I know what you're thinking. Blah I'm busy enough with my on shiz and Saturdays are precious. I feel you. But theres going to be a broad assortment of volunteer work to choose from and maybe you'll find something that grabs you - like an art project or community garden. Check it out at Cape Fear Community College from 10-3. AAAiiight. I would be there myself, but I'm running in the Krispy Kreme Challenge.
THE KRISPY KREME CHALLENGE (www.krispykremechallenge.com) is a roundtrip race of 4 miles to Krispy Kreme (where you consume 12 doughnuts) and race back to NCState. It's purpose is to raise money for the North Carolina Children's Hospital. It's $16 to enter including a shirt and some dough-nutz. Registration ends tomorrow so if you're interested in competing go to the aforementioned website.
Moving past the inevitable images of throwup conjured by consuming 2400 calories of doughnuts and then sprinting segways me to my next point. I love cool pointless stuff.

It's a 110 camera which means basically that I have no idea what kind of film to get for it or where to buy it. This bad boy looks like a book to the naked eye, but functions as a sweetass camera. This is a VHS to digital file converter. If you have some Susan Summers workout videos on Vhs that you can't part with. Buy this now. It also works with 8mm tapes! Just hook it up to your computer via the usb cable included and you're in business.

What to do in Wilmington on a Tuesday Night.
I'll give you the step by step.
1. Wake up
2. Go back to sleep
3. REalize that its fluffing 65 degrees and say "hellz yeah" to yourself. Not to anyone else tho' because that phrase is outdated.
4. Skip class and work on your Cheese Sandwich Film for the Cheese Sandwich Film Festival (The amazingness of the festival is detailed .... in detail at www.cheesesandwichfilmfestival.com - read it or die.)
5.Try to figure out what you are doing with the rest of your life. This should take approximately 15 minutes and then it gets BORING!
6.Blog! and read my blog
7.Watch Gossip Girl BUT (this is important) tell your friends that you are painting/smoking weed/insert cool thing here.
8.Waste time listening to my new favorite band Sleigh Bells

My two addictions
I got very excited when I saw this little ditty. Its a combination of my two favorite things photography and spoons. No kiddings I hate spoons actually. I forget what I was talking about. Oh yes I love coffee and photography and usually I have to drink coffee because I've been up late working on some photos/films. Apparently, this little mug is just in the preliminary stage of production. Shucks! Life isn't worth living. As soon as it is in production you will be the first to know.
Since I'm on a Coffee Mug RANT!!!!! BLAH. I guess I should show you all a few of my favorite mugs. I like the ones above because they all connect together. You can hold up to 6 mugs at once and get coffee for all of your friends. Unfortunately, I don't even have 6 friends. And even if I did, it would be hard to coordinate us all getting coffee at the same time. I bet my friends would be busy people. If I had them of course. one day. OOOh! I bet these mugs would be handy in a Big Love sort of polygamy situation. None of the wives (or husbands feasibly) would feel left out of the morning coffee routine. I love it. I think Utah would have good Market Share on these. I hope I didn't offend anyone. I can take as many readers as I can get.

I like it because its hinting at global warming which we all know is a big fat myth. Science is Stupid. I burn fossil fuels just for fun. I just let my hummer idle for hours when I get home from school. If I had to tell you what it feels like - my only answer would be SHEAR POWER.

This is my Inaugural Post!!
Well the whole blogging thing is becoming popular which usually means that I would hate it. I'm not a jump on the bandwagon-er. But I come across a lot of amazing people, places, products, and ideas that need to be shared. That's the basis of this blog. I'll show you the things that amuse me and you can or cannot enjoy them. I think you'll enjoy them. I have to admit that I'm a film lover so my posts might possess a filmic leaning. But my interests are fairly broad so keep coming back to see what I've found. Also, I attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. People always complain that there is nothing to do. I don't understand this. I'm a pretty busy girl and I love this place. I love the people, the music, the places, the airport, the park, rollerblading - Wilmington has it - you just need to know where to look. I'll try my best to keep my readers in the know. Join the skeeball league its the shit. Go to the Cheese Sandwich Film Festival on April Fool's Day. Live a little and talk to someone you don't know and the whole world will open up to you.
